This week was quite busy at work, so I have not been able to post recently. I still made a ton of good progress Saturday and into Sunday morning.
Here's a list of my accomplishments late last week and into Saturday's session.
Adjusted font size on target nameplate to allow longer names to display
Escape key now deselects current target
Fixed background on health & mana globes to add contrast between full & empty
Adjusted chat area UI styles to be more minimalistic
Added player nameplate
Added functionality to toggle visibility of the target nameplate when a target is acquired or lost
Worked with Niagara fluid systems
Implemented 2D Gas system
Implemented 2D Gas emitter & Smoke emitter
Created torch blueprint
Reduced radius of interactable item world space hotspots
Complete restyling of UI menus
Started implementing movement while in combat (WIP)
A slower progression this week but still very productive. Things are starting to feel more like a game and I'm getting more confident with my skills understanding of Unreal engine 5. I hope to tackle some more functionality this week.
